Alvin Ray Lynn came to Dumas in 1964 as a science teacher and coach. He stayed for thirty years. During that time he touched an untold number of lives – students, teachers, parents and citizens. He was not only involved in the instruction of a variety of sciences, but in academic achievement in all areas. He strove for excellence in his own life while leading others to set high goals for themselves as well. He was involved in the Moore County Art Association and Historical Society. His love for history and archeology has led him to be an award winning author, leaving a piece of his passion to influence others far into the future.
